Turnip, white, peeled, raw

A white fleshed root vegetable with purple-flushed white skin. Peeled. Uncooked.

The majority of nutrients including proximates, vitamins and minerals were derived from 5 purchases of white turnip from local supermarkets spread across the socioeconomic scale in Sydney in 1984 (Wills et al 1987). Folate was borrowed from the USDA, record 11564. Cholesterol and retinol were imputed zero based on scientific literature.
