Rice, flavoured, prepared from dry mix

Rice dish prepared in the home from a packaged dry mix containing uncooked rice, flavours, salt and other ingredients, by adding water and a small amount of oil or butter, and cooking until soft.

The majority of nutrients were derived from a composite sample four purchases of oriental flavoured rice mix (including Continental, Maggi and other brands) in Adelaide in 1994. Folate imputed from boiled white rice. Retinol is imputed zero.
