Basil, green, raw

Large, green, oval-shaped, pointed leaves, with a distinct sweet smell and taste.

Proximates, vitamins and minerals were derived from a composite of 5 samples of fresh basil purchased from 4 Sydney suburbs (Bondi Junction, 2x Randwick, Kingsford and Pagewood). Carotenes and folate were borrowed from the USDA, record 02044. Folic acid, retinol and cholesterol were imputed.
