Oyster, smoked, canned in oil, drained

Oyster flesh preserved by smoking and canning in edible oil (generally cottonseed oil) and salt. Drained of excess oil.

The majority of nutrients were derived from 9 samples (1x John West, 2x Farmland, 2x Seakist, 2x Safcol, 2x Lunchtime) purchased in Adelaide in 1985. Folate was borrowed from the USDA, record 15170 (USDA, 2005). Fibre and starch were imputed. Note low sum of proximates - data should be used with caution.
