Nut, cashew, raw
The majority of the nutrients including proximates, minerals, vitamins and fatty acids were derived from a composite of 6 samples (1x Naytura, 1x Sanitarium health foods, 1x Natures World and 3x unbranded) of raw cashew kernels purchased from local supermarkets in SA in April, 1989 (AGAL, 1989). Cholesterol and retinol were imputed zero. Folate was borrowed from the USDA, record 12087. Note low sum of proximates - data should be used with caution.
