The majority of nutrients including proximates, minerals, vitamins and tryptophan, were derived from a composite of 10 purchases of red skinned apples (8x Royal Gala, 2x unspecified) purchased nationally in each state and territory capital city and 2 regional centres in NSW and QLD (2006 - Key Foods Program). Fibre and moisture were determined in the 10 individual purchases from the same program. Fatty acids, retinol and cholesterol were imputed as 0.
