Pie, savoury, meat, commercial, family size
Fatty acids were derived from the analysis of 1 Black and Gold Family meat pie purchased in SA in 2008 (2008 KFP). Proximates, Na, K, Ca, Fe, Mg and Zn were derived from the composite of 6 samples of meat pie (Banquet, Woolworths, Country Fair, Farmland, Big Ben and Fine Fare) purchased from supermarkets, and heated in the laboratory (Wills et al. 1981). Moisture, Se, Cl, S, F, ATOC, B6, pantothenate and biotin were derived from a composite of 8 samples (1x Savings, 1x Herbert Adams, 1x Gibbs, 1x Pampas and 4x bakeries) purchased in Adelaide (AGAL (993). B1, B2, B3, RET, ACAR, BCAR and VITC were derived from a composite of 10 samples purchased from bakeries and supermarkets in Sydney in 1983 (Wills et al. 1985). As, Cd, Cu, Hg, Pb, Sb, Se, and Sn were derived from the 19th ATDS. Cr, I, Mo, Ni and Se were derived from a composite sample of 6 purchases collected in SA, NSW and Vic in August 2005 (22nd ATDS). Dietary fibre imputed from individual meat pie. Note low sum of proximates - data should be used with caution.
