Taro, peeled, raw

Tuber vegetable with a light brown rough skin and a cream to pink flesh. Peeled. Uncooked.

The majority of nutrients including proximates, vitamins and minerals were derived from 5 purchases of taro from local supermarkets spread across the socioeconomic scale in Sydney in 1984 (Wills et al 1987). Folate value was borrowed from the USDA, record 11518. Cholesterol and retinol were imputed zero based on scientific literature.
