Soy beverage, reduced fat (~1.5% fat), unflavoured, added Ca, Fe & folate

Beverage prepared from soy beans with a reduced fat content (~1.5%), purchased ready to drink. Contains added calcium, iron and folate, vitamins A, B1, B2 and B12.

Proximates and some vitamins and minerals are from samples purchased in Sydney in 1995 (Catalano 1996). Fatty acids are from four samples purchased in Sydney (2005 - Trans Fatty Acid Project), averaged with values from the 1995 samples. I, Se, Cr, Na, K, P, Fe, Ni, Cl are from 6 samples of regular soymilk purchased in three states in 2004 (22nd ATDS). Folate and tryptophan was derived from a composite sample of 2 purchases of Sanitarium So Good Essential purchased in Qld & SA (2008 - Key Foods Program). Iron is a label value from fortified products available in 2006. Raffinose and stachyose determined in a composite sample of 7 purchases of soy milk in Melbourne in February 1998 (ANZFA Folate Project). Vitamins A and B12 are taken from label values of products available in 2006. Cholesterol and vitamin E are imputed.
