Pieces of battered pork, usually with pineapple, carrot, onion and capsicum in a sweet and sour sauce, as served in takeaway outlets.

Na, fat and fatty acids were derived from 12 individual samples of sweet and sour pork purchased from takeaway outlets in NSW, SA and WA in 2009 (2008 TFA program). I was determined from 7 individual samples of sweet and sour pork purchased from takeaway outlets in NSW and SA in 2009 as part of the same program. Moisture, protein, starch, dietary fibre, ash and sugars were imputed from Chinese restaurant style sweet and sour pork. Nutrients adjusted to account for differences in fat content.
