Fish cake, purchased frozen, fried, peanut oil

Patty formed from a mixture of fish and potato, rice or flour, salt and spices, in breadcrumb coating. Frozen before sale then cooked by shallow frying in peanut oil.

The majority of nutrients were derived from 3 samples (2x Frionor, 1x Chicko) purchased in Adelaide during 1985. Note: there is some analytical uncertainty with the identification of long chain fatty acids. Fibre was imputed from home-prepared fried fish cakes from AUSNUT 1999. Origin of calcium is uncertain.
