The majority of nutrients including proximates, fatty acids, B vitamins, folate, pantothenate, tocopherols, retinol, cholesterol, vitamin D, and minerals Mn, Na, K, P, CA, Cu, Fe, Mg, Se, Cl, I and Zn were derived from 5 purchases of chilled scallops, identified as Pecten fumatus, and originating from Lakes Entrance, Blancheport and Streaky Bay, in Melbourne in July 2000. Proximates, Na, K, Ca, Fe, Mg, Zn, retinol, cholesterol and vitamin C were derived from 5 samples of frozen scallops purchased in Adelaide in 1986. Fibre was imputed.
