Melon, watermelon, peeled, raw
Proximates, vitamins and minerals were derived from samples purchased from 5 retail outlets in Sydney during 1983/84 (Wills et al 1986). Fibre, moisture, some vitamins and minerals were derived from a composite 10 samples purchased in Vic in 1998 (1998 Folate Program). Proximates and minerals were derived from a composite of 8 samples purchased in 2000/2001 (AGAL 2000 and AGAL 2002). I, Se, Ni, Cr, Mo were derived from a composite of 10 samples purchased in NT, Qld, SA, Tas & WA in December 2004 (22nd ATDS).Heavy metals are from the 19th ATDS. Retinol, cholesterol and fatty acids were imputed based on international literature.
