Dairy blend, butter & canola oil spread, reduced fat (57% fat) & salt (sodium 230 mg /100 g)

A spread that is a blend of butter and canola oil with a total fat content of around 57%. Reduced salt content. Contains added vitamins A and D.

Proximates, vitamins, minerals and fatty acid were derived from a composite sample of one brand (Devondale Dairy, Extra Soft, Reduced Fat Spread) (AGAL 1990). Proximates, vitamins and minerals were also derived from reduced fat dairy spread (ADC 1991). Total fat, PUFA, MUFA and SFA estimated from relevant literature values. Sodium based on label information available in 2006. Moisture calculated by difference. Vitamin D is based on permissions outlined in the Food Standards Code.
