Proximates, organic acids, vitamin A, VITC, B1, B2, B3, K, Na, Ca, Mg, Fe and Zn were derived from a composite of 5 purchases of beetroot from outlets in Sydney in 1983-84 (Wills et al. 1987). Moisture, fibre, vitamin A, ATOC, B6, Cl, Cu, Mn, P, Se, F, folates, pantothenate and biotin were derived from a composite of 10 purchases of beetroot from 10 outlets in Melbourne in 1997 (ANZFA 1997/98).
