Wheat germ
Fatty acids and some vitamins and minerals were derived from a composite sample of 3 brands of wheat germ (2x Provita, 1x Greens and 2x Sanitarium) purchased in Adelaide (AGAL 1987 - Seafood and Products, Cereals). Sugars, starch, Cu, Mn, P, Cl, Se, S, F, B3, ATOC, B6, pantothenate and biotin were derived from a composite sample of 4 brands of wheat germ (3x Naytura, 3x Old Grain Mill, 1x Sungrown, and 2x unbranded) purchased in Adelaide (1993 Cereal catch-up Program). Folate was derived from a composite of 9 samples purchased in Victoria in 1997. Note the low sum of proximates in this record - values should be used with caution.
