Commercial product prepared from white wheat flour and other ingredients and cut to shape, but not dried prior to packaging. Includes fresh pasta containing egg. Boiled without the addition of salt although the pasta itself is likely to contain added salt.
Sugars, proximates, vitamins and minerals were derived from a composite sample of at least 3 brands (Latina, San Remo, Leggos) of pasta in 1994. Pasta cooked according to label instructions. Boiled in tap water without the addition of salt, then drained. Fatty acid profile imputed from uncooked fresh pasta.
