Oats, rolled, boiled, added salt (porridge)

Rolled oats boiled with water, with the addition of a small amount of salt.

Proximates, sugars, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals were derived from a composite sample of 3 brands of oats (2x Parsons Easi Oats, 2x Blue Lake Rolled Oats and 2x Uncle Tobys Traditional Oats) purchased in Adelaide in 1985 (1987 - AGAL - Seafood and Products, Cereals). Cl, Cu, F, Mn, Na, P, S, Se, moisture, ATOC, B6, biotin and pantothenic acid were derived from a composite sample of oats in 1993 (93 Cereal Catch up program). Sodium only from 1993 Cereal Catch up Program. Folates determined from a composite sample of 6 purchases of rolled oats (2x Uncle Tobys Traditional, 2x Uncle Tobys Instant, 1x Lowan, 1x Homebrand) in Sydney in March 2005.
