Mussel, blue, steamed

Flesh of a mussel that has a blue or purple tinged shell, cooked by steaming.

Proximates, sodium and fatty acids were derived from 3 composite samples (1x 2 types of Tasmanian mussels purchased from Spring Bay and Dover Bay, 1x 3 types of South Australian mussels purchased from Boston Bay and Wallaroo and 1x 3 types of mussels purchased from Eden NSW, Cockburn Sound WA and Grassy Point Vic) purchased as part of an industry analytical program. Vitamins, minerals other than sodium and cholesterol were determined in individual samples outlined above. Fibre imputed zero.
