The majority of nutrients including proximates, minerals, vitamins, tryptophan, fatty acids and organic acids were derived from a composite of 10 purchases of 6 brands (3x Pauls Trim, 2x Coles, 2x Dairy Farmers Lite White, 1x Foodland, 1x Pura Hi-Lo, 1x Woolworths) of reduced fat (~1%) cows milk purchased nationally in each state and territory capital city and 2 regional centres in NSW and QLD (2006 - Key Foods Program). Ca and I were also determined in a composite of 10 purchases of reduced fat cows milk purchased in each state and territory capital city and 2 regional centres in NSW and QLD (2008 - Key Foods Program Additional Analysis). Cr, I, Mo, Se and Ni were determined in the 22nd ATDS (2004). Fibre and starch were imputed as 0.
