Proximates (except ash), most vitamins and minerals were averaged from 2 analyses in 1986/90 by AGAL (1: composite of 6 varieties- 3x Nestle and 3x Carnation- from Australia, purchased in South Australia; 2: composite of 6 varieties- 3x Carnation and 3x Nestle- from Australia, purchased from 2 outlets in South Australia) and samples of Australian regular condensed milk, canned as reported by the ADC (1999). Derivation of individual carbohydrates in the ADC sample is unclear. Ash, ACAR, CRYP and vitamin C were determined only in the AGAL sample. Fatty acid profile is for milk, butter, etc. (ADC 1991), as per NUTTAB95. Iodine, alpha tocopherol. B6, folate, pantothenate were determined in a composite sample of 6 purchases (4x Nestle, 1x Cles, 1x Bear) in Melbourne in late 2005.
