Margarine, polyunsaturated

A polyunsaturated edible oil spread containing no less than 80% edible oils. Contains added salt and vitamins A and D.

The majority of nutrients were derived from a composite sample of 6 purchases of margarine (4 different brands - Meadowlea, Flora, Daffodil, Eta Poly). The origin of the fat and protein values is uncertain but is likely to reflect industry-supplied information at the time of analysis. I, Se, Cr, Ni and Mo were derived from 6 samples of margarine purchased in August 2004 in Qld, SA and WA as part of the 22nd ATDS. Cholesterol, vitamin C, fibre and carbohydrates other than lactose were imputed. Vitamin D is an average of analytical data available for margarine spreads from the 2006 and 2008 key foods programs.
