Hamburger patty, purchased frozen, fried

Hamburger patty commonly containing beef, cereal, TVP, salt, spices, tomato, herbs, spices, mineral salt, monosodium glutamate, onion and water. Patty fried with either polyunsaturated cooking oil or hot peanut oil for 3 minutes each side, then drained of excess fat.

The majority of nutrients including proximates, minerals and fatty acids were derived from a composite sample of 9 brands (1x Birdseye, 1x Fabulous, 1x Farmland, 1x Gourmet, 1x Home Brand, 1x No Name, 1x Plain Wrap, 1x Torino, 1x Woolworths), purchased from retail outlets in Sydney in 1984. Vitamins and minerals were also derived from a composite sample of 6 brands (1x Birdseye, 1x Farmland, 1x Chicko, 1x I & J, 1x Regency Food, 1x Generic Blue and White), purchased in Adelaide by AGAL in 1988.
