Fruit drink, 35% orange juice, added vitamin C
The majority of nutrients including proximates and vitamins were determined in a composite of 10 purchases of 3 brands (6x Golden Circle 35%, 3x Prima 25%, 1x Homebrand 25%) of orange fruit drink purchased nationally in each state and territory capital city and two regional centres in NSW and QLD (2006 - KFP). Minerals and sugars (excluding sucrose) were determined in the 6 individual purchases of 35% juice fruit drink in the same program. Sucrose was estimated from the difference in label values for total sugars and the sum of other sugars in the same program. Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6 pantothenate, folate, fibre and tryptophan were estimated from orange juice. Fatty acids and cholesterol are imputed as 0.
