Yolk portion of chicken eggs, including any adhering white portion. Uncooked. Yolk represents approximately 35% of the edible portion of the whole egg.

The majority of nutrients were derived from a composite sample of 3 purchases of each of 6 brands purchased in Adelaide in 1990. B vitamins, Cl and F were derived from a composite sample of 6 brands purchased in Melbourne in 2000.
